Default Replacement Carb

So I'm looking for a replacement carb for my '89 Trail Boss 250 4x4. The Manual says its a Mikuni VM30-SS. I'm curious if the SS stands for standard or slider. Looking online I have found quiet a few but none of them say SS. I'm wondering if the SS goes by another name so I can get the correct model. I'm debating on getting a rebuild kit but they don't include new floats and the one I have is the original and looks pretty roughed up so getting a new one might be a better idea. So any help in figuring out exactly which one I need or how else it is describes as would be appreciated.
Thanks
D

Just try a kit first,a lot cheaper than replacing a carb!Just make sure the carb is clean and use compressed air to blow everything out. Polaris Trail Boss 250 Carburetor Carb Rebuild Repair Kit 89 99 Moose 10030004 | eBay
Also here's some videos on how to do it.
Plus the VM 30 is just an old fashioned round slide Mikuni carb like the one in the video!
