I have been hearing a little about how the Scrambler 400 AWD button changed from 98 to 99. Can someone let me know how to tel the difference between the two.

David,

The pre-'99 models has a red button you push to engage 4x4, and push again to disengage. The '99 and up models (except Sportsman 335) have a yellow switch that moves left/right to engage/disengage 4x4.

Have you ever seen a Grizzly? If not, go to the ATV Connection Grizzly review. Look at the 4x4 button, it's almost the same as the old Polaris button.
