I,m sure 5w is fine but the lower the first number means it has a better cold flowing start up temp. the last number is only the viscosity once the motor is up to operation temp. In that case the higher the number the better.

My son and I both noticed smoother shifting on our motor cycles also after we changed from using Mobil 1 4T to Rotella T6. This is a heavy duty synthetic originally designed for diesel engines, but a lot of cycle guys are using it now and have been for several years. On a lot of forums Rotella T6 is brought up often as oil they prefer over designated cycle oils. OPT

I have been using the rotella in my street bikes for years now. Not only do I like how it works, I really like how much it costs. Wish I could get do a synthetic oil change on the cars for that much.

PURE POLARIS OIL

Do they really have more corrosion inhibitors than other oils?
