Will fit fine. the big thing is, you have to watch the width on the front tires. 9" wide is as wide as you dare go unless your using rims with a greater offset than the oem.

Rims have nothing to do with much, 10" rims with 27" tires are as large a 14" rims with 27" tires. Just the tire sidewall profile height changes.
Id rather have 12" rims then 14", there more tire sidewall to get though before that rock hits that rim edge.

Lower profile tires on a ATV just can,t be good. Looks good on a sports car though.

27's should fit fine and, as mentioned by others, going wider up front will require different offset rims or spacers. I agree with TLC on sticking with 12" rims. Unless your racing around where you'd want less tire roll on corners all the 14" rims are good for is looks. Much better ride on 12"s.

IF you have 12's on it stick with 12's...cheaper also. bt if you have 14's stock then you are probably obligated to stick with 14's...my 550xp had 14's stock and there is NO WAY 12's would ever fit due to the big brake rotors.

Check out the STI HD Beadlocks. Got mine from discountutvtire.com for $330 shipped and they're pretty awesome!
