clutch weights

I have a 335 sportsman and put the white clutch spring in. would the different clutch weights help more? and what weight lighter of heavier any suggestion would help.

lighter weights would engage later and have a higher RPM
The heavier weights would engage sooner and would make less engine RPM
I think that is the rule of thumb but i could be wrong.
Maybe Jack , Rick or one of the other Guru's could explain it better
