Default replacement thumb lever

My 05 700 sportsman has a broken thumb lever and I was told that I could buy a Trail Boss unit, part #2010335, and use the lever portion in my housing. Cost of this is around $30 online versus over $100 for the entire unit for mine.
There apparently aren't any aftermarket levers available.
Ever heard of this?
Thanks.

Every Polaris I rode seems to have the same looking thumb throttle unit. Kind of hard to go aftermarket with the AWD switch built into it.

This place sell them New for $87 if all else fails. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

Never tried it myself, but don't see why it wouldn't work. The awd switch in your housing is the only difference between the two,the thumb lever should be the same. OPT

How did you break your thumb lever? I don't think I have heard of or seen 1 break.

Picked up part #2010335 for a Trail Boss at local dealer today. Internet prices seen of $28-36 plus $8-10 shipping. Paid about $4 more but here today and can return.
Fits perfect. Can't believe Polaris doesn't make just the thumb lever available.
Thinkink of filling the hole up through the middle with something like JB weld or epoxy for more strength.
Once again I thnk you for the input.
