Getting to be now that many name brand bearings are made other than the US. Crack open a Polaris transmission and you will find a mix of Russian and Chinese bearings in some..The Russian ones are crap(usually the ones I had to replace) but the Chinese are built fairly well. The Japanese bearings were and still are imo as good as the best US made bearings. Just like electrical switches. Many are made in Mexico along with China. There are still bearings made in the US by Timken, ***,etc but getting harder to find. Just look at SKF's (another good brand) home page. It's just getting down to who can make the cheapest bearings and keep the companies profits up. SKF.com
Plus look at their bearing market report. http://www.skf.com/group/investors/bearing-market
