On a Sportsman 500 the starter sits on top of the crankcase not under it like on a 400 2 stroke. Therefore the recoil housing is drained.

Well TEX ,I'ma gonna change the oil,BUT I'm tellen ya theres no water in that ther oil.Weather it's that prefilter or maybe the crap paper air filter I dont know, but there is no water in the oil.My filter was soaked ,air box took water BUT...??Yelp already checked coolent, thank you
actually we sunk 6 of them,my magnum been sunk atleast 3 time's by itself,it now has over5000 miles on it.
The rancher is up and running,6 oil changes, case of oil,and 36 more miles.I did find the gear oil fill plug was chipped, and the chip dident come out while changing the rear oil, looks like it came from the factory like that.
I'm the only one that wants to snorkle, and I will once I figure were everything is going. They all think I'm nuts
I checked the recoil ,it was dry but I shot some wd inthere anyway
