proper use of AWD

If mine I'd change it at least every 50 hours. Couple ounces of fluid is a lot cheaper than the parts it lubricates!

Puts a lot of stress on the hillyard cage in the front differential
I hit the awd by mistake while the rear wheels where spinning and it held up where the single plastic roller cage would of blew into a thousand pieces.
But still never hit the AWD button on the fly unless both the front and rear wheels are spinning at the same speed.
Some people do not realized a Polaris is aways in 2wd even with the AWD engaged. Unless the rear wheels lose traction the ATV is always a 2wd.

Not on the 2001 it has two stronger metal cages in each locking front hub, much stronger then the newer single plastic cage in the locking front diff.

hence the phrase, "on demand awd"

Its impossible to have the front wheels turning without the backs wheels turning. Unless you stand on the back brake and lock up the rear wheels only.
