You don,t need a winch you just need one person in the group to have a winch.
Easier for the guy who is unstuck to throw the hook then the person who's in the deep goo to do it.

Never do serious rides by myself, I think that wold be dull. I may go for short rides by myself but on those your lucky to need 4wd let alone a winch.

I added a winch and I found a Moose County 60 inch plow on Craigs List for $250 bucks. Mines a 2012 500 HO. Plow came with tire chains never even tried to use them.
