Default Not sure if SP500 is overheating?

I have not really rode my 99 Sportsman alot in hot weather, today it's humid and around 90 degrees and rode it about 2 miles. The fan seems to stay on constantly,I have never seen the hot light come on,not even sure if it works. What are the signs of over heating, boiling over radiator? I changed my antifreeze last month and my radiator stays clean. The fan cycles on cooler days. Also noticed my muffler is sizzling hot which may be normal,I stopped for a moment and saw some water drip from the fender and it fried away...

Just rode it in the yard for a few minutes and then let it set and idle, the fan come on for about 2 minutes and cut off,so I guess it's fine. The Outlaws don't help much "lol"

If your Sportsman over heats you will know it pretty quick! Usually the coolant bottle will spew out. Hot,humid weather then yes the fan will cycle on and off a lot more, just like the electric fans on cars and trucks do now on the newer vehicles. If you have any doubts you can park it,remove the cap and let the fan cycle on and off several times. This can help remove any trapped air that can cause overheating problems since you changed the coolant out. After this just top off the radiator and coolant bottle if necessary. Both inlet and return hoses should be firm, showing that coolant is cycling ok. Down here when we get to a 100+ seems like the fans are on constantly..
