Aaen Performance is at 316 Sheridan Road Racine, Wisconsin 1-414-522-8981. I don't have the catalog in front of me and i'm not sure if there is a non-adjustable version but the adjustable version is the one i have and recomend. HPD also has a dampener in both adjustable and non-adjustable versions.

Chris,

Is your unit a 4WD? If not, does anyone think that a steering damper will improve the performance of a 4WD machine? Thanks.

I have an angry 99 scrambler 500 my friends call " The Raging Slab ". I keep it in 4wd a lot but i don't know if that's what you mean by 4 x 4. I have nothing but good things to say about this unit until it breaks. If i had to buy it all over again and it was $200 i would still get it. It greatly reduces fatigue on the rough terrain and allows me to ride longer. I really love that sportsman 500 " Relax while you ride feel " and am trying to smooth out the ride a little.

If you want to improve the ride the softer front polaris strut springs make ride a lot better. This is if you are not jumping it a lot or hauling a load of some type. 40 bucks and ~1 hour of time.
