On that 07 primary that needed a one way bearing....the machine it came off of sunk in water and it was never ran again. Do u think the one way bearing could be cleaned or would it have to be replaced? Sorry for asking so many questions. Just trying to find the cheapest route

Problem is that on the one way they're many small roller bearings and spring plates that are often rusty or broken that hold the bearings in place. It can be cleaned, but has to greased up to hold the bearings and springs in place long enough to slip back on the shaft with out them falling out. You can do as the replacements are from the factory, and place a small/fitted card board tube to hold things in place and pushes out as you push the one way on the shaft. Bet you're gonna find some rusted out spring plates from the water if it's been awhile..

Hey there I got a Polaris outlaw 500 that leaks coolant from the weep hole. My question is . Do u have to split the case to get the mechanical seal out? Any insight "old Polaris tech"?

Cam cover has to be removed along with the w/p cover on the left side of the engine. It has two seals along with the main w/p seal that has to be replaced. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

I just bought this clutch of e-bay for my 550 Artic Cat snowmobile for $150. I don,t think people sell parts of clutches its a all or nothing kinda of thing.
I would not think a ATV clutch would cost any more. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Arctic-Cat-Comet-108C-Primary-Clutch-Prowler-440-ZR-EXT-530-550-580-Mountain-Cat-/370856073245?pt=Snowmobile_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5658be981d&vxp=mtr

If you can pull the front clutch you can have it rebuilt. You can save more if you can borrow/buy the spider tool to separate the clutch and rebuild it yourself. Main items if clutch is is bad shape is the bearing(Item 1),washer #2,fiber washer #3 and the 6 guide buttons #5. Parts total some where around $185. The primary is shot it has cracks in it. I read the forum about using 800 but still confused? I found them on eBay and a secondary to good deal but it is off big boss. Is it worth it or would I put the 700 back on. Found a new comet primary for 299 non ebs. Thank u so much for ur help I have only had race bikes clutch was easy on it but I love my polaris can't wait to fix it get it back in mud.

Don't mix non ebs drive clutches on an ebs system as it doesn't always work properly. People have found that out the hard way.Best to stay with your clutch # if you can as it's used on several different year models. Or you can do as some have done and changed out to a complete non ebs system in which almost all non ebs drive and driven clutches will work. Here's your part# and what years it's used on.

Yes the 800 ebs clutch can work also if you want to go that way,but be prepared to have to replace parts on a used clutch.

I want to put a new 800 clutch on my 04 sp 700. Which one should I go with the x2 or the regular 800 with ebs I'm itching to go out but I want the most bang for the buck. I'm going to get it from polaris warehouse it does not come with spring or weights. Thank u for all ur input I really grateful
