I just go done rebuilding my 05 Predator. I was wondering exactly what the reverse switch/turn cable thingy (don't know technical name) does. I know reverse is all the way down and it will go into it and work fine without the cable. Is the cable a safety switch so it wont go into reverse while shifting down? Also where does it even hook up? I search my service manual back and forth with no luck. Any help is awesome. Thanks

Didn't have any problems on any at the shop,but since it's changed part #'s for a reason,it might be a good idea to replace it,but I still think it's like the old Expedition 425 that you wont be able to engage reverse until the rpms drop to keep from any damage.
