Default 08' sportsman 800 leaking antifreeze?

I have an 08' sportsman 800 efi/ho with 172 hrs and 971 miles on it I'm the original owner and for the most part taken care off pretty well. My ? Is it has been leaking antifreeze from the right side below your foot if your sitting on the bike after I shut it off after running it for a little while there will be a little puddle on the floor what could this possibly be from and or causing the problem?? Thanks for any help and or advice.

Look at the weep hole under the w/p cover area. If it's wet, then the w/p seal has failed.

From me you'll get the way from the manual as I've seen what happens when others have tried to pry the seal out and bent the water pump shaft! They brought em to me to split the engine to replace the shaft! The correct way is to remove the flywheel and stator, pull the outer cover, pry the oil seal from the back of the cover, knock out the w/p seal and install a new oil seal and water pump seal. Then replace the cover. Slower than using a pair of vice grips, a punch and a screw driver, yes, but a heck of lot cheaper than if you bend the shaft any at all!! Here's a link to a 5 buck pdf manual that you can look over the procedure and decide for yourself.2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI Service Manual PDF Download
