I'm considering a new pipe for my 400, anybody have any experience with the new FMF w/Turbine Core II silencer or one of LRD's adjustable pipes? I would be interested in performance and noise level.
Scott.

Funny, you ask this question has been brought up again and again, nobody knew anyone with one. So I did the next best thing and bought one myself (FMF for 400 sport) put it on yesterday no clutch as of yet but tell you what the bang is well worth the buck (300$).

Please let everyone know how the FMF works out. Wheredid you get it, what silencer did you get? I saw them listed in Rocky Mountain for $260 (fatty pipe + turbine core).

I play around with motocross bikes and have always like FMF pipes. I've no doubt it makes power. Let us know how it works on the low end and top speed. Also, I would like some input on how much more noise it puts out than the stock setup. Which silencer are you using.
Thanks, Scott.

turbine core ll, As for bottom end power I can't compare to RCR or HPD pipes because I have not ran them. But for what I have ridden it (up and down street) I can ride wheelies like no tomorrow,(almost scary at first) wasn;t expecting that big of difference.(I wonder what would happen if I changed my clucth springs ?) As for Rockey Mountain having it for $260 spend the extra $20 and get from someone else RM don't have it in stock. I live in Utah and tried to get from them for a month straight with no luck. As for the sound I can't compare it to the others like I said eariler but it is quite throaty.

My curiosity is running wild now. I called FMF yesterday and talked to a tech. operator. They have dynocharts available and he said he will mail one out to me, although they were on a basically stock machine. At least I will have some type of gauge to compare it to others. How is the "fit 'n finninsh" of it? Any installation problems? Does the silencer attach w/ springs or a clamp?

I agree with 400L, you've got me very interested in the FMF too. I was wondering how it compared to the stock system in the noise department. I have an RCR on my 250 TB and it is pretty loud. I was also curious if you felt a loss of power anywhere in comparison to the stock unit.
Thanks, Scott.

Well just to let you know, I just bought a DynoPort pipe that gains an extra 9 or 10 horse without clutching at all. You also get the silencer which has a motocross bark to it. It was rated very high in Dirt Wheels magazine, and it is made just for Polaris. (LOOKS AWESOME)It is very scary after you put on one of those, hold on tight man I tell ya. Also I have a buddy who has an FMF and he spent close to 8 hours drilling holes and welding on some brackets because it was that far off. Just thought I would let you know. Have a great day gentlemen.

Funny how were getting everyones attention, when I needed info nobody would reply.. As for that last statment of fitting ( truly false)FMF at first had a few they had to recall because of fitting promblems but those are all out of circulation they say. Silencer mounts with springs now (was clamp FMF changed it) As for loudness can't compare to RCR don't know anyone here locally that has one. Although if you want a quite bike stick with the stock pipe. As for power loss haven't noticed any but like I said its only been up and down the street. (I still wonder what would happen if I changed my cluch springs) I'd probelly need two big woman to sit on the handlebars. Now that wasn't very nice, oh well. I think that covers the questions for now happy to answer more if I can.

I just put on my new DynoPort pipe last night and WOW!! I can not believe how much more power it gave my quad. I hit the gas and have to almost sit on the gas tank to hold it down! It is amazingly awesome!!
Just thought I would let you know! It has power through bottom, mid and top with no probs.
