Default A-Arm CV Boot Guards

Can anyone recommend a good boot guard for a 2005 Sportsman 700 efi?

I bought some Moose guards which were supposed to fit. The MUDP03 for my machine barely covers the boots from any frontal assault. The factory OEM Polaris Plastic ones are like 2-3 inches higher. Anyway - the Moose guards are junk.

What's the best way to guard these things. They should be made of kevlar!

Several different brands of guards made,Moose,Epi,Oxlite, etc. We installed a lot of full length steel guards for the double cv joint models along with the stand size. Easy to install on the a-arms but almost all are mud traps and have to be kept clean or the hardened mud will slice into cv boots. Utility ATV Cycle Country CV Joint Protectors - Front | MotoSport Just Google up atv cv guards and you'll find several, plus look at Moose Epi,Oxlite.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah - I can google all day. It's difficult though when there are no reviews (like the link you posted) or the image is not showing the actual product.

I wash my wheeler down after every ride, so i'm not worried too much about hardened mud.

I can tell by looking at the guards you linked to, that there will be a problem. The U-bolts will have to go from top to bottom which means there will be some sawzalling to the excess bolt to minimize the potential snags. Then, you're still left w/ the hangin nut. Doesn't matter - just used the calculator and the site said they wouldn't fit my wheeler anyway...

So. Long story short - this is why I'm on the forum. I'm hoping to find someone with a similar machine who has good boot guards! :-)

Ricochet is a quality & highly protective product. If it saves a boot, joint, or axle, they're paid for.
