Default Oil filter for 2013 Polaris

where should I buy a oil filter? Is there any ones that are better than others.
My polaris is brand new i only have about 4 hours on it, 11 miles, and what oil should I use?
From what I have heard I should change oil and filter at 25 hours?
Is there any other maintenance that should be done?
Or shouldi just take it to Polaris and let them take care of it?
Thanks

I'd change oil at 25 hours. Polaris uses a "standard size" filter that many different brands use and can cross over to many others brands of filters for motorcycles and atvs,Wix,Amsoil,Purolator, etc. In fact a 500 Sportsman filter can fit my old Honda Nighthawk. Look at list and the filter brand choices you have in place of the Polaris oil filter # 3084963. Motorcycle Oil Filter Cross Reference

Screen shouldn't have been dirty, very few are if oil is changed regularly. As long as you drained the tank, the sump(8 ounces) and added 2 quarts of good synthetic oil, plus primed it(not really necessary to prime if you don't remove the screen) this shouldn't have caused it to stall. Make sure the thumb throttle has 1/8" slack only also or it can die at an idle if you have too much slack and the etc contacts in the throttle housing touch. As far as what caused it to stop and what if any damage has happened no one can tell. You say it's running good now.. Only way to tell is to drive it and see how it does.
