carb flooding
#11
The nipple where the fuel pump vacuum goes is fine and hooked up to the fuel pump. Its that brass tube that goes from the top where the choke plunger is on the other side, and the tube runs to the bottom of the carb. Its in that pic but isnt replaceable. So your saying if that brass tube is broke off it will cause it to flood?

Very likely. If this is damaged/missing I'd try to find a used carb on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-polaris-scrambler-500-H-O-carb-carburetor-/271268172304?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f28d7d210&vxp=mtr

Thats what I was afraid of. I just noticed it was broke off after I took the choke plunger out and looked in the hole and saw daylight on the other end! Can you explain how this could cause it to flood out though? ALso, what other carbs are compatable so I can broaden my search?

All the Polaris 2001 and up Scrambler,Sportsman 500/700 carbs (BST40) are compatible for the most part. If you can see daylight through the opposite side of the choke inlet because of the damaged line it's probably an air pressure problem causing the flooding.I wouldn't spend any more time worrying about this damaged carb! Just get a replacement and install your new parts in it..
