Default 850 XP ADC seems stuck on

I have an '11 850 xp and used my Descent control in the mountains. After switching back to "4x4" the quad seemed to slow down alot faster than normal. I thought it was just in my mind, but when I got on some pavement you could really tell the front wheels were grabbing hard. So I tried turning adc back on it works normal and slows the machine down even more (like it's suppposed to.) I tried to unplug the adc connector just to see if it would help but it did not which makes me believe it is not electrical. I tried to drain the fluid out of the pump to get it home because it was so sketchy drving it and it definitely helped. Every once in a while it would grab again so I'd back up a bit and it would release. I am going to try putting new fluid in the diff and the ADC system and see what happens. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Jesse

ADC? Is that like EBS (engine braking system) but you can chose to turn it off?

Yeah the Active Decsent control is EBS for the front which can be turned on and off and it is not releasing all the way.

A fresh Demand AWD fluid change can do wonders. I have the twin locking hubs style and one wheel was not unlocking on its own sometimes. Backing up with the wheels turned corrected it for some reason but once I changed the hub fluid it worked great once again.
That may be all you need.

Try backing up slowly for about 15 ft & then go forward slowly. DON'T SPIN THE TIRES IN EITHER DIRECTION. See if that releases anything

When I was headed home it came on few more times and backing up would release them. I found that it would come on more often if I was riding pretty quick around 50km/h and have to slow down fast for a bump or a dip. Then I'd back up about 15 feet and it would be good again. Hopefully I'll get time tomorrow to put new fluids in it. Thanks for the replys. Jesse
