Since no one else has replied,I'll take a stab at it. What you said about water proofing the connections sound good, plus try to mount the horn as high as possible away from splashing water if possible. You can use a simple push/kill type dirt bike switch and mount it on the bars if it didn't come with one. Should be an unused red/white wire(accessory wire) under the front panel that's powered when the ignition is on that you can use and can ground the horn to the frame or tie into any brown(ground wire) or use a single ground wire push switch. I had several cattlemen have horns on their atvs just to call the cattle in and at feeding time. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Horn-Button-Kill-Switch-7-8-Handle-Bars-Moped-Scooter-Pit-Bike-ATV-Motorcycle-/271236234755?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item3f26f07e03&vxp=mtr

I had an ooga horn on my trailblazer for about 3 hours of riding. The plastic mounting setup it comes with is not meant to hold up to the movements and jolts of an atv. If you do go ahead with it use some sort of strapping or something besides it's intended mounting system. Also, I don't know where you can mount it to keep mud/water out but you will absolutely have to. Just before it fell off my 4w it sounded like something dying one time and then nothing from then on. They don't handle any liquid inside the horn itself. I heat shrank all the connections WITH dielectric grease inside but if you get anything besides a little dust inside, you'll replace it every ride.

was thinking of putting it in the storage compartment in the front that came with my atv and plan on protecting the connections with a aquarium glue and will have horn button mounted on handle bars.

Default horn

I believe the "keep it dry" refers to the horn itself. the electric connections, not so much unless you ride in salt water perhags.

thing about the wires connecting the well pump thats 200 feet into the well.. . with 220 volts and no ground. . . . . they work or years.

maybe apples ad oranges but you get the idea. your doing fine with your sillycone and heat shrink. .
