Default Spring spacers??

I am going to do Spring spacers on my 400HO, all 4 corners, cheaper than doing HL coil sptings.

Do the spacers go at the bottom of the coil?

Would I be better off to save for HL or EPI Springs? I hate how it handles in the corners.

Someone makes adjustable spacers but I can't remember who. I posted a link on another thread some time ago. HD springs on the front would help if you don't use spacers.

Thanks. I think I will save for springs. I hae the nose up stance on anything, so it will get done on all 4 corners.

Front springs you can do yourself fairly easy by ramping up the shaft with protected vice grips that compress the spring ,but rear springs can be a little tough. We had the Race Tech spring compressor mainly for our dirt bikes, but only took me about a couple minutes at the most to change an atv spring. I'd get the springs and let a good dirt bike shop do it. If they bought em from us I didn't charge em anything to do this.

Before you do the rear are they set at the stiffest or stiffer settings already? If not don,t use the Polaris mickey mouse tool use a large pipe wrench because that collar can be hard to turn.
I take it the fronts are still non adjustable?

I never got a tool with mine. Rears are turned down, do you have to jack it up to adjust them? The adjusters are now stamped strl, no longer aluminum like yours.

I set mine up while its on the ground. I have to stiffen them up on my loaded down ATV camping/fishing trip because of all the gear weight on the rear rack.
I have to return the setting back to normal for just trail riding because the ride is to stiff.

#1 is the stiffest and #4 is the softest.

If #1 is not stiff enough the HD springs or Spacers is you option.
Spacer really vary in quality.
