Default 2002 Sportsman 700 carb problems?

This is the one I took swimming several weeks ago. I’ve got everything cleaned and back together, and it starts fine, it just won’t run when I give it throttle.
|Actually, it’s starts hard, with a lot of throttle and choke. It used to crank on the first spin of the starter.
When it does start it seems to idle fine, but when I give it gas quickly, it bogs and dies. A slow push on the throttle and it speeds right up.

The only adjustment I made to the carb was the air/fuel mixture screw while I was cleaning the carb. Ii is now set at 2¼ out. I didn’t change any other setting on the carb.

The needle and jet are exactly as they were before the water incident.
Any idea what I need to look at first?

Do you have the updated Kokusan ignition? plus have you checked the stator area for any water?

Yes I do.
Yes I did.
But I feel stupid now. When I replaced the gas tank it evidently hung on the right side spark plug wire and pulled it off, so the quad was only running on one cylinder. Replacing the plug wire makes it run like new again.
My apologies for wasting your time.
