I replaced the ignition and spark plug tonight and now it's idling crazy high. Any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong. Prior to changing these things I had no idle issues.

 

Check the simple things first such as carb idle adjustment,cable binding,plus spray contact cleaner around the intake boot and base gasket to check for air leaks. If it idles down you could have an air leak causing the high idle. I still wouldn't over look crank seals that most people forget about.
