Good day. Just signed up and eager to learn. New to the atv scene but does anyone have any feedback on these sportsman 500 HO s? Appreciate the help

Same as any other brand. Regular maintenance required. Major problems were in the hub awd system if hub fluid wasn't changed regularly. Some intermittent awd problem because of grounding issues.If the machine is new to you here's a cheap 5 buck manual that can help you on service and repairs.http://polaris-atv.brssm.com/2003-Po...ce-Manual.html

I have a 2008 500 HO EFI and have had a few non carb models as well. I change my oil once a year or every 600 miles, whichever comes first. At that time I have the spark plug checked and the diff oils as well. My machines run well with no problems. I suggest taking it to a Polaris dealer to have it checked right away if you notice anything wrong with it. Might cost you $40 service fee even if nothing is wrong but you can't beat peace of mind.
