Same as any other brand. Regular maintenance required. Major problems were in the hub awd system if hub fluid wasn't changed regularly. I have a 2008 500 HO EFI and have had a few non carb models as well. I change my oil once a year or every 600 miles, whichever comes first. At that time I have the spark plug checked and the diff oils as well. My machines run well with no problems. I suggest taking it to a Polaris dealer to have it checked right away if you notice anything wrong with it. Might cost you $40 service fee even if nothing is wrong but you can't beat peace of mind.
