Default Polaris Electrical Problems

95 Polaris explorer 400, I recently built up basicly and runs fine one day, the next it either doesn't or will not start cold, once ran and warm it will fire right up, also recently while riding it wants to die, I mess with headlight switch flipping it back and forth from off to low to high then back to off and it seems to help, why would headlight switch make a difference? I took off entire switch cleaned and wired up kill switch direct thinking it would help but didn't....please help

Could be electrical or mechanical such as compression causing problems. Best if you have a manual for trouble shooting as it show all electrical checks to eliminate problem areas. Could be as simple as the cdi black kill wire shorting out or even the reverse limiter module. Manual shows the electrical tests along with mechanical tests.Index of /ORV Manuals/Polaris/1985-1995 - All Models
