2004 Polaris SPortsman 600 Twin stock rims - New Tire Question
Hi I currently have a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 600 twin with stock rims and Carlisle tires. The Front tires are 25x8-12 and the rear tires are 25x11-12.
I was going to buy some new tires. I was wondering if anyone would know if the following tires could be installed on my stock rims?
ITP XL 26” – Front 26x10-12 and Rear 26x12-12
Or
ITP XL 25” – Front 25x8-12 and Rear 25x12-12
I'm just wondering if I would need new rims as well if I purchased either the ITP Mud Lite 25" or 26" tires.
Many thanks!

You do not need rims to change tire size as long as the tires are for your 12" rims.
A 2004 should not have those odd ball 10" rear rims.
I would just measure your fronts if your going 10" wide fronts to make sure nothing rubs.
I know 9" wide fronts are fine.
You can go as wide as you want on the rears.
My little 350 took 26x9 fronts and 26x11 rears with room to spare, and Zillas have a taller 1.19" lug then XL's.

26" are a nice look on a ATV, are you sure 9" wide fronts would rub? I don,t think 26" come in 8" widths on the XLs.

I think 9" would fit but the problem is the 26" ITP mud lite XL only come in 26x10-12 in the front and I don't think the 10" would fit.
The 25" ITP mud lite XL offer the 25x8-12 for the front.
I would have to go with the ITP mud lite XTR if I wanted the 26x9-12 front tire but the XTR cost alot more than the XL.
