Default 02 polaris sportsman 500 h.o

Having a problem with my front 4x4 ive changed the wiring and magnets and plates to the hubs....Still when I go out and get stuck everywhere. ....and if you wet the belt is it common for it to snap often

Not under standing about snapping belts?,but if you're sure all that you did is correct,try regrounding the thin brown wires leading to the hub coils as this guy did to solve his awd problem.

Ok awesome ill try that thank you....about the belt im not sure Ive never changed it in 7years and now 2 times in 2 years.....it shreads it all into chunks just dont know why maybe its not supposed to drive Fast down the road?

Methinks there is some other problem with the belt. I have shredded a couple in ten years in my Sportsman but they have all been while running my tracks in deep snow.

2001 and 2002 model 500s were bad about creeping in gear when the clutches are out of alignment and belt wear. Pull the cover and see if the belt is riding dead center of the one way bearing in the front clutch. If not it can cause belts to glaze and get hot and separate. Shimming the rear clutch out on these two year models usually solved creeping and belt problems.

Yes one had seperated the teeth on bottom ripped right off and the top stayed together that was in deep water with the bike submerged I started to smell some burning after I got out then and hour later she broke apart....I cleaned everything and put a new belt on and everything seems good went 5 kms in town coming back around 70kms poof....

Doing 70 shouldn't affect the belt at all. I go faster than that sometimes and never had any trouble.
