After having tried HPD and Erlandson and homemade remidies for clutching, I tried Hot Seats new clutch kit for the 500 HO's. I was skeptical at first but now am impressed. Low range wheelies are AWESOME! I compared it to my wifes HO before the kit and she beat me from 0 - 60. After the kit, I was able to stay 2 lengths ahead up to 40mph and was pulling away. Backshifting is greatly improved. Engagement is no more than 300rpm higher. In 3 years of trying clutch kits on 500's, Hot Seat seems to have the ticket! Cost was $149 which is cheaper than any other. I realize 2 quad lenghts isn't much, but bragging rights are fun!

What year is your SP500? I have a 98 and want to mad it out. I already have the K&N filter. I want to get a clutch kit. From what it sounds like the Hot Seat kit is the right one. Thanks for the info.
