Hi folks,

I'm looking at buying a used winch for my sportsman 700. It looks to be in good shape and works fine. It comes with all the wiring, as well as the mounting plate for my quad. Any idea what it would be worth, I don't want to get hosed? I'm having trouble finding any prices outside of eBay. They seem really expensive on there, and shipping is crazy. This is a local sale.

You can get this brand new Superwinch at Cabelas for $150. Use that to gauge how much you're willing to spend on a used one.

Yeah it looks like I can get a kit with mounting hardware and a brand new warn 2500# for around $400.

 

Friend had the Superwinch on his previous quad. It never let him down. If I needed one I'd try a Superwinch.

 

$50 to $100 tops , more on the low side if it was used for snowplowing .

 

I figured $80 would be plenty. He's trying to show me all the "sold" listings on ebay for 150 plus 100 shipping. Who in their right mind would buy a used winch for 250??
