Default Do I have a potential Problem with my Transmission?

I changed the oil in my Trans yesterday and noticed that the drain plug looked like it was ground or filed down on top. Not muck, but just enough on one side to reach the first of the threads.

I felt up into the drain hole and I could feel the chain hanging low enough to be within reach of the drain plug.
Is this normal or is is something I should be concerned with? How common is a chain breaking inside the gearbox on these machines?

My machine is a 08 Sportsman 800 EFI, it has 70 hours and about 600 miles on it.

Thanks

Common thing that happened on most of them as the chain got even just a small amount of stretch.Plug threads were just too close to the chain to begin with. Didn't seem to get any worse on ones I worked on,but the part number has changed for one reason or another on the drain plug. Thank you. I figured it was just a chain-stretch thing.
If it looks any worse on my next oil change I'll see about picking up a new drain plug.
