Probably been a year or so(or longer as I lose track of time now) since I ordered a cam and rocker arm for a neighbors Ranger and only took about 4 days through them, but have read some complaints from some recent peoples posts that it took awhile on their parts.

well parts came few days ago,..so i got the new pilot jet installed and its running,...idleing,..plenty of power too,..but seems to be idleing lil to high for it to go into gear,..wanting to grind an not ingauge in gear,....cut it of put in gear, crank it,.gose fine...just cant get it to go in gear idleing,...tryed turning idle screw out on carb an got arratic results on idle rpm,..tryed turning the screw that stops the slide too,...pretty sure theres slack on throttle cable...not sure what else to do...hopeing OPT can lead me to the light!

If the compression is low as you posted earlier(109 psi) it may have a hard time idling ok. Normal air screw setting is 1 to 1 1/2 turns out. Just adjust thumb lever until it barely has slack. If lowering the idle adjuster screw(the big screw in the center) to get a smooth steady idle doesn't help, then could be because of the low compression reading or leaking crank seals, especially the one behind the drive clutch.
