reverse light

I added a reverse light to my Sportsman HO using a relay switch that is triggered when you shift to reverse. You can get the relay at an autostore where they sell driving lights, etc. I ran a power wire from the battery to the relay, then ran a ground wire from the relay to the frame. Then I tapped into the PURPLE wire in the headlight pod to trigger the relay. I zip-tied the relay to the handlebars inside the headlight pod - this keeps water, mud, etc away. You then have to run a wire from the relay to the light and then run another ground wire from the light to the frame. This sounds a lot more complicated than it is but using a relay switch will provide power straight from the battery rather than drawing power from the reverse circuit.
