Cool '04 Digital Display Going Out

I have a 2005 400 Sportsman with an unusual problem. When the weather gets cold the display goes out. Once back in a warm garage it starts working again. When this happens it also takes away the power to the wench switch. I have resorted to wiring the wench control directly to the battery. Can anybody put me in the right direction to resolving this problem? I was going to replace the display but I not one to "Throw" parts at a problem and hope it fixes it. email: racingrescur@sbcglobal.net

Sounds like moisture could be the problem. You could use some electrical grease and see if it helps on the speedo harness. If it doesn't help then here's one members posts on tearing one apart if you are inclined to go that far.AWD and Speedometer don't work - Page 2 - ATVConnection.com ATV Enthusiast Community But before you do anything drastic you might slice the 20 amp circuit breaker pouch open(located up from the battery) and check the terminals for any corrosion that could be causing problems. If it needs replacing you can find one at any auto supply.
