Default polaris 500 x2 2007

Hello I have a polaris x 2 500 2007, I do not have to run in my cluster and I cannot start, the gas pump works to the slow, any connector are good and clean, no wires to break, It may be the control module # 4011657

Pdm module(4011657) does control many functions plus contains the main circuit breakers, but if you have the fuse block on your model check that fuses and wiring is ok along with checking connections into the fuse block itself. Speedo connector harness should have 12 volts to pins 1 and 8. If you have power on these pins, then speedo could be defective. If you don't have power to the speedo connector or ignition, then the pdm is more than likely the problem. Dirt Cheap Yamaha & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

Check the left control switch wiring and connectors to see if it may be cutting power. Many often over look this area also.Check for any shorts/bare wires in the speedo harness along with any shorts under the pod area on the main harness. All it takes is one wire to cause problems. If you can't find a wiring problem, before you spend 225 bucks on a pdm, just might be cheaper to have it hooked up to Digital Wrench and pay an hours labor charge in most cases. This is where at times a dealer may be able to save you money on efi machines rather than you throwing parts at it.

Same symptoms using your pdm on another machine, then yes sounds like you found the problem.

Trying to understand your post.. Is the pump priming up? If not then you could have a pump problem or could still a wiring problem to the pump connector. Same on the cluster if you have a new pdm installed, but no voltage on any pin on the speedo harness, then still could be a wiring problem either in the speedo harness itself or in the main harness.

Then before you start throwing any more $ at it I would have it put on Digital Wrench to at least find the problem. Could be anything from a short to an ecu problem or stator problem on no firing conditions. Possibly you can come out cheaper in the long run if you do even though most people hate taking machines to a dealer. Only so much you can do at home with a meter.
