Im looking to replace my stock tires right now which are 25 inches, first off can I go any bigger with leaving the quad(99 Explorer 400 4x4)stock? Else what is a good 25 inch tire that will go through anything mostly snow and mud but also for dirt roads. I wanted somthing that could keep up also with like a 26 or 27 inch tire, or at least come close.

Kenda Bearclaws are a good choice. I put them on after taking off some bigger mud tires that adversely affected handling. The Bearclaws bite good, mud good and are a smooth ride also. Plus they are not super expensive.

I just put the 26" 589's m/s(mud and snow) on my sp,which had stock 25".They handle great, dont lose much top endand they get me through alot of the nasty stuff. But Hell if you want just get the 25" 589's,thier such a difference from stock it's incredible.
Go to the tire forum and look at the pic's Thor posted,I think subject is -view the titan589-

Bearclaws or Blackwaters seem to be popular. I personally would go with the Bearclaws, they are quite inexpensive especially if you stay stock sized , some places they are about 200 bucks for all 4! plus shipping.

Goodyear Mud Runners or Titan 589. Comparable in ride to a stock tire but real claws through the mud and snow.

Kenda Bear Claws get my vote as the best-bang-for-the-buck all-around great tire.

I bought the Bearclaws and I am happy with them. Also look at the Spider Trac by ITP. Both are very nice and are leaps and bounds better than stockers.

I run the 25 " biclaw up front and the 25" Triclaw in the rear on a sp 500 H.O. I went from 26" Mudrunners And I am very happy with them Check them out.
