White Sportsman. good or bad?
#1
I am looking at getting a white sportsman. Is that a bad idea? How would the plastics look after a couple of years? I would think you would see the scratches more. Any experience with this color?

My
on this is no..Looks real good new,but scratches show up like a sore thumb and scratches turn dark with age and dirt. Saw plenty of them at the shop. There are clear protective sheets you can install on fenders, etc that can help, but if you have to go to that trouble, pick another color.

I like green myself. I've owned 2 green quads including my current Rancher. In the woods green is almost as good as camo but doesn't cost extra like camo. No, its not bright and shiny like white or silver but you don't even notice scratches on it. If I bought a new quad, green would be my choice.

Mud and dirt will sit in any scratches and stick out like a sore thumb. A little spic and span plus some elbow grease can make them look pretty good again, but they will always be more maintenance than a red, green, or blue for instance. I actually don't mind white, but you may tire of them quickly if you are particular about appearances.

My Gray Metallic paint has held-up extremely well. Only one deep scratch in 3-years. I used touch-up paint on the deep scratch and it looks descent.
White will show all the dirt grunge in the scratches and won't come out.
How about bright red, blue, or green, or camouflage?
