Looking at getting a new starter solenoid for my sportsman 500. I've seen two different types for sale for the same year of bike. Just wondering if they are interchangeable, and if so which one is better... You can see the difference between the first one and the other two in this pic.

 

First one is the oem replacement we used and is a little better built,but now that aftermarket ones are out there,you can use either one. As far as how long the cheap one will last who knows,may out last the oem replacement type.
