Default Angle drive fluid?

Am i correct angle drive fluid goes in the front diff ? and demand drive fluid goes in the hubs? On a early 400 2004 sportsman? Also there is no rear angle drive on the 2004 sportsman? trans fluid just goes in the trans and the rear diff is part of that?

Yes,but you don't have to use the Polaris branded "Angle Drive" fluid unless you've already bought it. Any good brand of 75/90, 80/90 GL4 or even GL5 gear oils(most of these are synthetic) can do just as well or better.

Polaris now makes a Fluid that works for both the older locking hubs and newer locking centralize diff Hillary.

Didn't read all your post.. Just getting old I guess. Yes on this model Demand Drive hub fluid for the hubs and Polaris AGL for the transmission. No rear diff. These are the ONLY two Polaris fluids that are critical that I would stay with. Engine oil, oil filters, front diff fluids can be your choice. On oil filters and oil you can choose from many different brands. Just make sure it's synthetic..Polaris 3084963 Oil filters interchange with a lot of different machines and multiple oil filter choices.POLARIS 3084963 - Alternative oil filters

Great thanks for the info.I thought that was the correct locations for the fluids but wanted to double check. As far as my hubs go what is being lubed in there just wheel bearings or are there some type of clutches in the hubs?
