change all the fluids in it and focus on the front hub clutches if its a early model.Polaris seems to push 0/50 oil now.I just got some in a fluid change kit i bought on ebay to change all the fluids. The 425cc engine seems to be a great engine.super fast starting and very smooth running

Polaris seems to push 0/50 oil now.
Because they are the only ones with it. They had 0w-40 forever before that but many other aftermarket oil are that weight .
I have use 0w-40 synthetic for years .

The "Fugi Industry" motor are dry sumps and like the oil flowing to the cam quickly on cold starts so the important thing is to keep the cold start viscosity number low 5w at most and use full synthetic.
The last number 40 and 50 only applies after its up to full running temp.
