i have a 2008 Polaris outlaw 525 irs. when I ride it for about 5-7 minutes it quits or when gets a little warm. when it cools off it starts right back up. any ideas? maybe heat sensor? before this happened the neutral and reverse light quit working then when I put it in reverse and put it back in 1st gear it acts its still in reverse and wont let it rev to high. someone please help

 

First thing I'd check is valve clearance when the engine is cold. Both intake and exhaust valves set at .005. I'd also check compression. The 525 has a gear position sensor that works off the shift drum. It may be faulty or sticking. Item #40 in the parts break down.
