I bought my 2008 Polaris 800 and drove it about 5 miles when I got home which put it over a hundred miles. Drove great!! Should I go ahead and get the 100 mile recommended service and maybe an inspection done?

Unless you know what service has or hasn't been done,I'd do it for peace of mind. Plus a manual can save you some time. 2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI Service Manual PDF Download

At least do an oil change, there's no telling how long its been in there.

Best insurance is to change the oil/filter, tranny, and diff fluids. That way you know it's good to go.
