Hot Sportsman 500
#11
My 01 had an overheating issue. As OPT helped me out back in the day with the idea of a new fan...well I got one off ebay for 15 bucks...and it bolted right in !!!! and spun 10 times as fast as the old one. The old one was werking and seemed ok but when i removed it and spun it by hand it was shot. the bushings were cooked and it spun very lumpy and stuttery. the new one was smooth as silk. and for 15 bucks delivered it was the fix.
Other issues might be your problem but do not dismiss a worn out fan.
IT was an easy fix . Remove the black side panels and the old fan will slide right out and the new one slid rigt in and it matched bolt hoes perfectly. I wish I could offer a link but its been a couple of years since I fixed it...but they are available for cheap cheap...much cheaper than a factory for like 80 bucks
