Best oil for Trailblazer 250?
#1
I just picked up a 2000 Trailblazer 250 and I was wondering what the best 2 stroke oil I should run in it. I believe it has Polaris Premium Blue in it atm, but I'm not sure if that's the best option.

Polaris is oil very good oil but, any good quality injection oil will work well. Just read the labels, some fully synthetics are not supposed to be mixed with "non" synthetics. Just as well to stick with the Polaris......

Plus the so called "smokeless synthetic oils" do smoke, but normally less than plain old conventional 2 stroke oils.If an oil doesn't smoke some,it ain't working right.

I heard Yamalube was good too. I just checked to see what I have on hand and it's Pennzoil marine oil. It's good for injection and pre-mix land or water applications. I think I bought it for my weed whacker and leaf blower. It's TC-W3 rated which is supposed to be pretty good but probably not better than Polaris oil. Any injector oil will work but I wouldn't mix a bunch of different kinds. Amsoil makes a few different kinds of 2-stroke oils and one is only $8.70 a quart. I've seen other oils for more. They recommend their more expensive Dominator oil for Trailblazers. https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...-oil/2-stroke/
