I was wondering why nobody made a 6x6 with 2 seats. A machine that big should allow you to have a passenger aboard. Having the option should improve sales.

When they had the Big Boss with solid axles where one was chain driven off the middle axle I wrote to Polaris saying I thought they could do better. I suggested IRS in the middle and rear and I said it would be neat if they could design it like the Sportsman X2 with the box/flip up passenger seat. Wish I had the money. Seems like everything I wanted and a single cylinder that's almost as powerful as the 800 cc was if I'm thinking right.

When I had the money I didn't buy one of them over the Sportsman X2 because they still had the middle shaft a solid axle with a diff, using a sprocket on the middle axle going back to the rear axle which also had a sprocket. Lousy ground clearance and a nightmare to work on.

A Ranger 570 is the same price. And you can haul an extra person if you want. More cargo capacity as well. Yes its wider, that's about the only drawback I see. An extra rear axle helps traction I suppose but its just extra weight when you do get it stuck.

We have a lot of 50" gates on trails up here in New England. Big reason I'd take the 6x6 over a Ranger. I like both but the 6x6 just works better up here.

In that case, I'd go with the Rzr 570. It would probably cost less than the 6x6. I just think a 50" utv would be more comfortable than a 2 up atv. If you need a bigger cargo box, I'm sure Polaris has a lock and ride option.

The 6x6 should be able to go through some crap that the RZR couldn't. If you're working would it be easier throwing a leg over the Sportsman or climbing in and out of a RZR all day?

Just looked and the RZR 570 with power steering runs $12,299. The Big Boss 6x6 runs $11,000. I personally like to sit on an ATV rather than in a UTV. I love the idea of 6 wheel drive too, along with the dump box. One thing I don't like about the RZR is that the box is non-dumping. It'd do the trick mostly but if I can have the dump feature I'd prefer it.

Son and a buddy's son both used RZR 570's that they rented to ride the Paiute Trail in UT. Had good low end and mid-range but lousy top end. Could have been that we were at 10,000 ft. a lot of the ride.
