Default Tires on a Sportsman 90

Has anyone had any experience changing tires and wheels on a Sportsman 90? I read one thread where Old Polaris Tech advised against trying to raise the 90 by some type suspension lift. OPT, I'm wondering if your opinion on bigger/taller tires is pretty much the same. My Grandson is getting to the age, size and experience that he's soon gonna be ready for a bigger 4 wheeler all together but I'd like to get him some more riding out of his 90.
Thanks

Wouldn't do it even if you could find larger rims than the 8" ones that come on them. You can go a little wider than the stock 18/20" tires, but doesn't sound like that's what you're after. These little ones are dangerous enough as they are,if you were able to put taller tires and rims on these youth machines, they'd just be an accident looking for a place to happen. Added height would completely change the center of gravity and there would just be one roll over after another. Get the kid a machine suited for his size and ability and pass the 90 down to other family members or sell it.

That's what I'm about to decide. The finding different size wheels was an obvious problem. Thanks. I had tried to send this question to you by a private message but never had any luck.
