rebuiling rear caliper

inside pad is getting pressure(hand brake, the fluid went down maybe a 1/8), i can feel it when i put my hand on it..outside pad hasnt moved and the foot brake is still going to the floor and taking no fluid..only way i got the hand brake to get a VERY LITTLE pressure was taking the bleeders out and plugging/unpluginging with my fingers, never could get anything to come out of the actual bleeders...mightyvac it is, tommorow
is the hand brake suppose to move both sides???

im thinking the seals are junk and i might get less agrivation with this New Rear Brake Caliper Mounting for Polaris Scrambler 400 2x4 4x4 1998 2002 | eBay anybody know if its worth it?...i noticed i was missing the clip/pin and "spacer" between the pads anyway, so...

Have been seeing cheap generic calipers like that for some time now and at times may be worth just getting one. Plus if you still can't get the small rear master cylinder brake to have a firm pedal, this in itself can cause a lot of your problems as this is a split system. Seal kits for these are available along with cheaper than oem new master cylinders. narrowed it down to the pesky rear MC, caliper is fine...theres only pressure in the last like 1/8 inch of travel(bad right? and it only takes fluid from res. in that short time it completely plunged so the rest of the way is sucking air?)...anyways, eberybody is telling me they are non rebuildable..to add to that, when i look up the part number, ebay says its 98-99 ? confused..

well i took it apart and cleaned it up real good(PO didnt even have it hooked up back when i got it) and there was rust in there that was from the washer behind the main seal..put it back together and bench tested with air lol...the res. is now sucking and holding pressure...im gonna slap it back on and see if it works now, i know this isnt the recomended fix but if it works ill roll with it until i order a new one...wish me luck!

never ending story...ive got the MC bled finally but when i grab the hand brake then step on the pedal i can feel it in the hand brake...which seal is it that is bad that makes it do this?? i have the caliper back off and with both lines near the caliper pinched off the hand brake and pedal are rock solid

Going at this bass ackwards.. Hook the rear caliper back up and lines, bleed the line from the hand brake first at the rear caliper(farthest line from the hand brake) then bleed the front right and front left lines. Then bleed the pedal brake line at the rear caliper. No need to push down on the pedal. Just get all the air out while keeping the small reservoir filled. Should be able to have a firm pedal and hand break. If it still pulses,no firm pedal then could be either the seals in the small m/cylinder for one thing, the hand brake master cylinder seals could be leaking(sucking air) or the two small o-rings in the rear caliper leaking causing the problem. Rear caliper is split, has a separate chamber for fluid from the front and rear(emergency brake) lines.
