Default 2006 sportsman 500 battery hold down

I bought my machine used and all it had was a cheap bungee cord holding the battery in, I've since replaced te battery with the proper one but can't find a pic of what I need to hold some the battery. Does anyone have a pic of the parts I need to properly hold this battery in?

Yep. It's just like number 20 and 21 in that illustration. It was that way for a long time.

I had a Scrambler 500 before and it had the same setup. Just a little box with a bungy cord wrapped around the battery to keep it in place. On the Scrambler 500, it was under the left rear fender. Doesn't keep the mud off the battery very well but it didn't seem to affect it. Its exposed in the new 570 as well.

As long as you still have the plastic cover the battery terminals will stay a lot cleaner. If you don't have it,order one.

My quad has never had the plastic cover on it and I haven't had any problems in 8 years. I don't know why it's not on there. All my other quads had it. As long as I don't have any problems I don't think I'm going to worry about it.
