Default 1999 sportsman 500 transmission swap

can anyone give me a rough overview of what i will need to loosen/remove to replace a transmission in this atv? and how long it might take?

I have one 'donated' and am wondering if i should just sell it for parts considering it was in a rollover as well.

Clutches have to be removed, also easier if the exhaust was removed. Both rear drive shafts, shocks, plus for me was easier to remove the stabilizer bars to lower the a-arms. Plus the front prop shaft has to be removed. If you need help, better to have this manual that can help guide you. http://visit.tradebit.com/visit.php/...75/264163430/9 After all the "stuff" is out of the way just 4 bolts at the bottom of gear case hold it in place.
