2007 Sportsman 500 fuel gauge keeps flashing from full to empty, weather it's full or not and switches from FUEL to mileage every 10 seconds or so. Is there a fix without taking it to the dealer or tearing it all apart?

 

Can't remember if this is the model pump that has the the wire float arm.You can remove the tank plastic to get to the pump and pull it out. If float is saturated,replacement are available.FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT FLOAT - Polaris ATV - X2, Sportsman 500, 700, 800, Can-Am Renegade - DJSFLOAT
